Two Africans Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Bangkok

Thai Police have arrested two foreigners in Bangkok and charged them with drug possession and trafficking, police said.
Police apprehended the 36-year-old Nigerian man and the 38-year-old Ghana national in front of a house in Bangkok’s Hua Mark district and seized a total of five kilogrammes of cocaine hidden in condoms and "wrapped with yellow plastics," which allegedly were found in their possession.
According to investigators, the duo "swallowed 27 condoms filled with cocaine before travelling to Bangkok with the aim of selling the drug to foreign tourists, especially Africans, in the Sukhumvit Road and Bangkapi areas.
Thai police later went to search their hotel room on the outskirts of Bangkok and also found eight plastic bags containing Crystal Methamphetamine, commonly known as 'Yah Ice,’ weighing over seven kilogrammes, 130,000 Thai Baht in cash, and "nearly 100 condoms" which had been used to smuggle in the cocaine.
Both suspects reportedly told police that they had been "in the drug trafficking business for more than a year and travelled to Thailand twice a month." They said they would "buy garments from a market in the capital after selling the drugs and then sell them in Nigeria and Ghana
